Lesedi and the Purple Lotus

An ambitious and somewhat naive future Queen is thrown into a hell scape of reality and only the ancient magic of her foremothers can save her. On her journey of magic, love, betrayal and power she learns earth has a natural way of achieving balance. It is Loosely inspired by the German Coast Uprising that took place at Whitney Plantation in Louisiana- one of the biggest slave rebellions in U.S. history. Lesedi and the Purple Lotus fuses Yoruba mythology, Creole culture, and ancestral power into a fantasy tale about rebellion and triumph.
